House of Halal is a closed referral beta operated by ALSHYN LLC, an Illinois limited liability company, in partnership with halal butchers and grocers in the Chicagoland area. By using this site you agree to the terms below.
The product
- All meat is sold by HMS-certified zabiha partner butchers. We facilitate ordering, delivery, and customer support; the butcher is the seller of record.
- Pricing and weight are estimates at checkout. Final weight and price reflect what the butcher hand-cut for you and may differ by ±15%.
- Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Couriers are dispatched via Uber Direct or our own delivery couriers.
Refunds & quality
- If anything about your order is off — quality, freshness, missing items, late delivery — contact support and we'll refund you. We don't require photos or proof for beta customers.
- You may cancel within 60 seconds of butcher acceptance for a full automatic refund.
Payments & data
- Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- We collect: name, phone, delivery address, order history. We use it to fulfill your orders and contact you about them. We do not sell or share your data with third parties beyond what's needed to deliver your order (Stripe, courier provider, partner butcher).
- You can request deletion of your data by emailing [email protected].
Support & contact
Reviews & community content
- You can post reviews, ratings, and photos. You are responsible for what you post and grant us a license to display it in the app and on our site.
- Zero tolerance for objectionable content. No harassment, hate speech, threats, obscenity, spam, impersonation, or unlawful content. We filter submissions automatically and may remove any content and suspend or permanently ban anyone who violates these rules.
- Every review has a Report control. We review reports and remove content that breaks these rules, typically within 24 hours. Reported content may be hidden immediately while we review it.
- Do not post content that is not yours or that infringes anyone's rights.
Halal disclosure
- Our partner butchers are HMS-certified hand-slaughter zabiha. We rely on the certifying body's standards; we do not perform our own slaughter.
- If a fiqh standard matters to you (e.g. mechanical vs hand slaughter, stunning policy, alcohol contamination), ask in chat before ordering — we'll show you the partner's exact certification.
Sadaqah
- The optional sadaqah amount you add at checkout is held in trust and passed through 100% to the mosque or food pantry you select (or the default partner, Mosque Foundation Food Pantry, if none chosen). House of Halal takes 0%.
- We act as wakīl (agent) only. A monthly payout statement is available on request.
SMS messaging program
- When you provide your mobile number and place an order, you consent to receive recurring text messages from House of Halal (ALSHYN LLC) about your order, delivery status, and account — including messages sent via automated systems. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message frequency varies based on your order activity. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. You can also email [email protected].
- We do not sell or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Numbers are shared only with our messaging provider (Twilio) to deliver these texts.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Closed beta
- Access is invite-only. Please do not share your invite code publicly — codes can be revoked.
- This service is currently available to friends and family of the founder team while we validate the operation. Coverage, pricing, and partners may change without notice.
Liability
Use of this beta is at your own discretion. To the extent permitted by law, ALSHYN LLC's total liability for any order is capped at the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be limited by Illinois law.
